Serving as the central hub for Qatar Airways, the airport partners with over 45 airlines, including 14 legacy carriers. Following the 2022 expansion, the airport's capacity increased to 58 million passengers annually, supporting over 200 destinations globally.

In November 2022, Hamad International Airport underwent a significant transformation with a 125,000m⊃2; expansion of its terminal. This development, part of Phase A of the airport's growth strategy, aimed to enhance passenger experiences and meet increasing commercial and operational demands. Key projects included the indoor tropical garden ORCHARD, a new transfer hall, Remote Transfer Baggage Facility (RTBF), and the luxurious Al Mourjan Garden Lounge, featuring the exclusive Louis Vuitton Lounge.
